Constanca exhibits an eagerness to serve and a willingness to learn in hopes that she can fulfill her duties and prove her worth.  While she struggles with her lack of innate talent and accomplishment, she’s learned to deal well with the jabs from her competition since she grew up as the youngest of six with all her older siblings being boys.  She’s generally a little haphazard in her decision making despite being well-meaning.  She tries to act the part of the jolly, big sister.

Constanca comes from a long line of military members.  Steeped in military culture for most of her life, she learned early on the values of discipline, strength, and honor.  She trained in the martial arts as a young girl to keep up with her brothers.

Her family was middle class and being the youngest of many siblings, she was often babied.  However, in the light of military service, she quickly learned that she wanted to be recognized for her achievements. She enlisted in the Federal Armed Forces at the earliest opportunity to prove her worth and escape the home in which everything was handed to her and she was looked down on for it.

Desperate to prove herself, Constanca worked tirelessly to improve herself but often found herself at the bottom of the pack.  It was stressful and difficult for her to keep up with others.  Despite finding great fortune in her potential as a prospective pilot, she was still at the bottom of the pack.  As a result of her lack of innate talent and wild potential, she learned to become a team player and often plays a defensive role, supporting members of her team that are more talented rather than trying to prove her superiority.

Among the initial recruits offered to Yvette, Constanca was the one that stood out the most.  Despite being among the lower performers of her class, she demonstrated strong integrity consistently in the face of temptation.  In the ambitious world of pilots, Yvette valued the ability to trust her subordinates more than their performance. Once assigned to Yvette, Yvette informed her as to her choice and let her know of her high expectations for her.  “I know you’re not the best of the best and I know that you know that too.  With that said, I hope you understand what’s important now.”

Immediately understanding Yvette’s priority over of teamwork and selfless service over ambition and praise, Constanca had finally found a place for her talents.
